Hello everyone and welcome to the next Monster Club Q&A panel! We’ve spoken to Asher, Sarah, and Tamil so far! Today we have a very special guest, Katie! I’m super excited, I’m sure ya’ll are too, so no wasting time, let’s jump right into it. As before, Katie, you have the right to skip any question you feel is uncomfortable. No one is gonna judge you for that. All questions will be in bold text and all of my dialogue will be in italic text. Let’s jump right into our first question, shall we?

Question 1: How are you? -LastoftheWolves
Katie: Aww, thank you for asking. I’m doing alright. A little chilly I’ll admit. Things have started to cool down a great deal.

Question 2: What are some of your hobbies? -LastoftheWolves
Katie: Oh I like to star gaze. It’s actually kind of funny. Sarah and I sometimes go outside to look at the stars. Asher will usually stick close by to protect us incase there’s some kind of trouble, but it’s just something I enjoy. I also like to curl up in a warm bed or by a fire. Heat is very comforting to me. And then there’s music…I would sometime enjoy playing the violin.

Question 3: Are lamias monogendered like harpies? -MKalut
Katie: I don’t know. Where did that even come from?
Me: There’s an anime out that claims lamia and harpies are monogendered and there are only females.
Katie: Yeah? Well it could be true. I don’t know. I’ve never met any lamia asides from my mother, and I didn’t get to talk to her very much before she was sold. Mind moving to the next question?

Question 4: You're always seen wearing that (sash?) around your hips so does that mean that your body is humanish down there like how lamias are portrayed in Monster Musume because much lamia art I've seen shows everything below the waist as part of the tail? -MKalut
Katie: What? I don’t understand this.
Me: Monster Musume is the name of that anime I mentioned before. He’s basically asking why you wear the sash. He’s basically asking an anatomy question. Do you have a human anatomy from the waist down or does it start lower?
Katie: That’s….that’s downright perverted! Why would anyone ask me that!?
Me: You don’t have to answer, I totally understand.
Katie: No, they want an answer, so I’ll give it. YES. Okay? Yes, I have a girls privates!
Me: Guys…just for the record, let’s not do anatomy questions anymore.

Question 5: Lamia mythology is Greek in origin but you're Indian in ethnicity so I'm wondering how this correlates to the history of your species? -MKalut
Katie: I’m starting to notice that these questions are more geared towards WHAT I am instead of WHO I am.
Me: Yeah…sorry about that.
Katie: In answer to your question, in India I am referred to as a naga. Not a lamia. When I came to America, I was referred to instead as a lamia. Look up the Naga in Indian mythology. Naga’s are the same thing essentially just called something different.

Question 6: I almost don't want to ask but you were born in that Governors mansion and your memory indicated that your mother had been subjugated there for a long time so my question is could the Governor have been your father? -MKalut
Katie: …I’m not answering that question.
Me: You sure?
Katie: You don’t think that prospect hasn’t crossed my mind? I don’t know. I don’t WANT to know, and I’m not going to speculate on it anymore! That MONSTER has nothing to do with me!

Question 7: Were there any other lamia's with you at that hell hole, or were you and your mother the only ones? -MKalut
Katie: My mother was the only other lamia there I saw.

Question 8: Despite the fact that Sarah seems to be the older sister in your relation which one of you is actually older choronologically? -MKalut
Katie: Hard to say. Neither of us know our true age. When we met at the freak show, we both decided to pick out a birthday for the both of us.

Question 9: It was made known to us when you first appear that you're of Indian decent so my question Katie is: Where in India were you born/hatched? -DeathKnightofAnime
Katie: I was hatched in the palace in which I was enslaved. I don’t know where in India that is.

Question 10: What was the moment, as specific as you can describe it, in which you finally decided to (at least somewhat) trust Abraham? -AnimaRaven
Katie: Decide? I don’t think it really was a decision. It just sort of happened. I can’t explain it really. He’s not like other humans I’ve met. He has a genuine desire to help and be there for us. I guess I just sort of started to trust him little by little overtime.

Question 11: Are your internal organs the same as a humans, or do you have any in your tail? -Korial16
Katie: How the hell should I know that? I’ve never exactly done an x ray of myself and checked, and I don’t really know if there are any biology books on lamia biology.

Question 12: Do you have any snake senses? -Korial16
Katie: …Yes.
Me: Want to expand on that?
Katie: Why should I? It’s clear that this question is meant to better gage my species and not me as a person. I don’t need to expand on a “yes or no” question. I’m sick of being seen as a lamia and not as who I am.

Question 13: Is your diet any different from a humans? --Korial16
Katie: …No. I live off of rats and frogs like a normal snake.
Me: Sarcasm is kind of rude, Katie…
Katie: So was that question.

Question 14: What event in your life led to you adopting Christianity as your religion as coming from India, most likely, this would not have been your original belief set. -MKalut
Me: Wow, now there’s a good question.
Katie: The truth is that my first belief set was Christianity. I didn’t believe or have faith in any god or deity beforehand. It wasn’t until Michelle brought me to the Monster Club and I met Solomon that he taught me about Christ. That was when I accepted the faith. A very good question though…thank you.

Question 15: How do you feel about Abraham? -Madstache
Katie: Like I said before…I trust him now.
Me: Any other feelings?
Katie: …Let’s move on to the next question please. That’s embarrassing.

Question 16: Do you have a crush on Abraham? -wrecker
Katie: DIDN’T WE SKIP THAT QUESTION!?
Me: No. You simply said you wanted to skip the question about other feelings. This is a new question.
Katie: ….I don’t know, okay? What does it matter anyway if I do? I had a crush on a guy before and you know how that turned out. I’m not ready to even admit to such things right now, so just drop it.
Me: Deal, no more questions about Abraham.

Question 17: What is the biggest regret you have that you wish you could change? -Jamiboi
Katie: I wish…that I’d never trusted Daman.

Question 18: What is your favorite form of escapism? -hi4560
Katie: I am learning to play the violin actually.
Me: Yeah, I haven’t had the chance to add that part into the story.
Katie: Last Christmas, Michelle, Sarah, and Calypso pooled their money together and bought me a very nice violin. I’ve been teaching myself through youtube videos. I think I’m getting better.

Question 19: How did you get along with everyone else in the Monster Club when you first joined? -GremlinBoyFH
Katie: There weren’t a lot of people in the club at the time. It was me, Sarah, Michelle, Solomon, and Calypso. I got along with most of them, but I was always wary.

Question 20: How exactly did you and Sarah find the club in the first place? -Christian
Me: This will actually be touched on later on in the story but you can answer this.
Katie: Michelle. Michelle was the first one of the club and the one who originally found Solomons house. She was the one who went out to gather lost or abused creatures and misfits like us to take back to the house. She came and saw us at the freak show about two weeks after I arrived and broke us out, taking us back to the house with her.

Question 21: Do you practice any form of art? -StripesdeChipmunk
Katie: Well I love string instruments and would love to play more of them, but they’re expensive and the club is tight on cash…especially now. I’m pretty sure my violin was destroyed by the explosion, so I’ll need to get a new one…if I can that is. If not, I’ve always wanted to play the cello too! Asides from that,  do try singing when I’m in the bathtub…but I don’t think I’m very good because every time Tamil hears me he falls asleep.
Me: That could mean it relaxes him.
Katie: Oh…then in that case awesome!

Question 22: Are lamias born or do they hatch like human babies? -katniss246
Katie: Eggs. Lamia lay eggs and we hatch from them. And yes, I’m sure you’re probably thinking ‘then why do we have belly buttons?’ Because the umbilical chord connects to a weak point in the egg where nutrients are gathered. It’s not the same as a normal egg. And before you ask for details, keep in mind that I do not know everything about my species. I just know a few things my mother taught me.

Question 23: What foods do you like best Katie?
Katie: Food at the club is…tought to sometimes get. Since money can be tight we can’t afford to always buy things fancy or expensive…but I have always loved pasta. I don’t know why really, I just love it! It tastes delicious!

Question 24: I’ve often heard people say that home is where the heart is. What do you feel “home” is? -LastoftheWolves
Katie: …Home is…yeah I think that kind of sums it up. Home is where you can lay your head at night and know that you’re safe there…and it’s where there are people that care about you and want to help you. And for a long time, I didn’t have that…I feel so happy now that I have one and I wouldn’t give it up for the world. The Monster Club is exactly that…it’s home.

I think that’s about it! Wow, that was a whole lot of questions. Thank you all for the good and thought provoking questions and thank you Katie for being here to answer them. I do apologize if any of the questions made you uncomfortable. Next time we’ll be interiewing Calypso, so please send in your questions to Calypso right away so we can go ahead and get started on those.
Thank ya’ll again for everything! See you soon!

Katie: Bye!
Okay guys, here is the interview with Katie. It had the most questions but that’s largely because the first set of questions that Katie got were, for lack of a better phrase, widely inappropriate. That why I sent out the journal for new questions. And guys, let me make a few things clear about these interviews. If the questions were directed at ME then it wouldn’t be too big of a deal, but these questions are directed at THEM. Some of the club, especially Katie, are very sensitive to being objectified and treated like animals or monsters. I treat them as victims who deserve to be treated with respect. It’s okay to ask about WHAT they are, as long as that’s not ALL you ask. Please, in future, I urge that you consider the character. I’m not mad at anyone and neither is Katie, I just want these interviews to be respectful.

Speaking of characters, up next is Calypso. I will upload her interview in a week or so, so please send me your questions as soon as possible so we can get them out there! Like with Katie, show as much respect as you would if you were standing in front of her talking. She’s a mermaid, but she’s still a girl. If you have any other questions for Katie that you would like answered, you can leave them in the comments of course.

Thank you and see you soon!

I am curious, when you met Abraham for the first time, and by met I do mean when you attacked him, with your previous experiences with human men why did you hesitate to kill him, if you don't mind me asking?
